What 2020 Disasters Have Taught Us

Every single one of us has the power to create and pass on a legacy. But how does one go about building their net worth and ensuring that their assets are protected for future generations?

“Digital estate planning is all about leveraging online, self-serve technology to help families put their affairs in order, because we recognize that over 58% have not conducted any form of estate planning.” Cheri Williams-Franklin says that, usually, it’s assumed that going about it is too complicated or expensive. Life Snapshot’s purpose is to simplify digital estate planning to make this timely and relevant process accessible to everyone.

Jayne Ellegard takes us through what she calls the six pillars of financial empowerment. The first pillar covers your money values and beliefs, a fundamental (but often overlooked) phase that creates context for all the other pillars. The second pillar asks: “What’s your destination?” This step is concerned with establishing your individual, personal financial goals. Pillar three, which she calls “planes, trains, and automobiles”, defines your starting point: your net worth, which you can find by subtracting your liabilities from your assets. The fourth pillar is all about spending thoughtfully, with purpose. Pillar five goes into the world of investments. Finally, pillar six is called “giving the best gifts”, referring to insurance and estate planning.

Tune in to hear how you can discuss and put together an end-of-life care plan for your family and what sets Life Snapshot apart in helping you along this process, as well as dissecting your current financial situation in order to increase your net worth and create a legacy.
